Established for over 25 years, Glide & Slide was created and is still run by Steven Hankin.

With over 30 years of ski teaching, race training and running ski schools as a BASI Instructor, Steven is able to understand the needs of the recreational and expert Skiers and Snowboarders.

Glide Slide embodies Steven’s enthusiasm for snowsports, which is shared by the other staff members. We also have another qualified Ski Instructor in Ally Bolton (CSIA 11) who also snowboards. Josephine Worrall holds an ASSI and has been involved with Lions’ Race Club. Madeline Hankin has had the benefit of being dragged around the mountains by her father and is a very competent skier and is also interested in snowboarding. Hugely knowledgeable but friendly advice is readily available, along with everything you could need for your winter holiday.

For many years now our schools-oriented arm, SchoolPlus, has concentrated on providing presentations, hire and equipment for school trips. We try to make the introduction to winter holidays safe, fun and informative for the parents and children, while easing the load on the teachers.

Within the shop we stock a huge variety of brands, offering great performance and value.

Boot fitting is our specialty, we probably carry the largest range of ski boots in the country. And as the only supplier of Strolz Ski Boots in the UK we are able to fit even the most unusual of feet.
